Teva pair for a foot

Since their inception 25 years ago, footwear brand Teva supports causes to protect water. The company will help to protect a ‘linear foot’ of water for every pair of Teva shoes sold in 2011. Teva is looking to steward 4.3 million feet of waterways in rivers, lakes and oceans worldwide by the end of the year.

To meet its goal, Teva teamed up with environmental organisation Waterkeeper Alliance and non-profit organisation Ocean Conservancy. In 2010, the shoewear label donated over 61.000 GBP in aid of Save Our Gulf, an initiative of Waterkeeper Alliance protecting the nature around the American Golf coast post the BP oil disaster.

Besides Teva, Deckers Outdoor Corporation is also the owner of other footwear brands including Ugg, Tsubo and Simple.
