Asos appoints non-exec director

Online fashion retailer Asos has confirmed that Ian Dyson, the former finance and
operations director at Marks and Spencer, is to join its board as a non-executive director.Dyson, who is currently a non-executive director at Betfair and Punch Taverns, takes up his new role on October 1, where he will also serve as a senior independent director at the online retailer.
Commenting on the appointment Asos chairman Brian McBride said: “Ian has a wealth of experience of being at the forefront of large UK listed consumer-led businesses and has strong understanding of both the retail industry and of technology.
“He brings a new perspective to an already experienced non-executive team and we welcome him to the Asos board.”
His appointment comes less than a month after Kate Bosworth, Asos’ executive director product and trading, and HR director, Michelle Emmerson stepped down from their roles.
