Les Petits Joueurs has opened its first store in its home-based city of Florence. The flagship clocks in at an intimate 862 square feet.

Founder Maria Sole Cecchi made sure the store was merchandised so it was its usual literal wink to pop culture and all things cartoonish, just the way she likes it.

The store is located on Via de' Tornabouni in Florence's historical shopping district, and features things like geometric carpet in black-and-white, stools covered in red, green, and yellow fabric, and a doorway painted bright yellow. Products are merchandised on white shelves and white walls.

Cecchi's customers have become major fans of her handbags that say things like "Hey" and "Ahh" on them, and they consistently demand these pop-icon style designs. As a result, she has no plan on moving away from them anytime soon, as they are easily her brand's signature.

Price points for her collection range from 554 dollars to 1228 dollars.

Before she returned to Italy, Cecchi lived in Paris and Sao Paulo. She felt that Florence was the perfect place for her new flagship store, given the city's rich history in fashion. “It’s the perfect place to open our first flagship,” she said to WWD. “I feel that I am part of the modern story of Florentine fashion.”
