Los Angeles – Minimalist label Helmut Lang recently just opened a boutique in the West Hollywood Design District.

The store was actually a relocation of its former space from Melrose Avenue. The space opened this Wednesday in a 7,000 square foot boutique. The former space was used as an art gallery, which was hosting a temporary installation space. Keeping true to the brand’s style, the interior of the shop reflected the label’s chic, minimalist vibes. The design elements include white and black fixtures, whitespace, and concrete flooring. The shop offers collections from Helmut Land including staple pieces for winter such as coats, denim, shoewear, and more. Pieces for Helmut Lang are on higher price point going up to 2,095 dollars.

Fashion designer Helmut Lang established the elevated, luxury brand in 1986. The brand features ready-to-wear apparel emphasizing simplistic, sophisticated fashion. The Prada Group acquired the brand in 2006. Since then, the company has continued to evolve. The New York-based company currently has 201-500 employees. The New York-based brand is currently under creative design by Michael and Nicole Colovos who help to emphasize strong construction and attention to detail for its new Los Angeles shop.
