Los Angeles Fashion Week (LAFW) just announced that it will be showcasing its annual fashion event this year in October. From October 8 to 11, the platform will highlight established and emerging designers with runway shows and presentations.
The platform’s intention is to elevate fashion in the U.S. by bringing the inventive talents from local designers to the attention of fashion industries on a global scale. By connecting Los Angeles designers, the shows can help propel their businesses and help boost the local economy. “There is so much amazing, creative energy vibrating throughout this city that we are honored to give our designers, supporters, and audience a few new experience,” said Arthur Chipman, executive producer of LAFW. Spring/Summer 2016 designers that will participate in LAFW include Ashton Michael, William Bradley, Barbara Gongini, Giacobbe, Emma Mulholland and more. The participants are mixed between locals and international designers. “The designers we’ve met are pushing the boundaries of fashion by positioning themselves as leaders of innovations for reasons to come,” said Kim Krempien, fashion director.
LAFW is a production company that is based in Hollywood. The team produces high-quality fashion week events in various cities including New York, Vancouver, Toronto, Sydney, and Los Angeles. The organization is dedicated to supporting apparel, design, and art communities through a variety of initiatives, partners, organizations and charities.
