John Varvatos to receive Fashion Cares Award

John Varvatos will be receiving the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation Fashion Cares Award at their 18th annual gala on November 12.

For the event he will be auctioning off a 10,000 dollar shopping spree at his Soho store where the lucky customer will be personally styled by him. One gifted individual will stand the chance at being styled by the man whose runway show closed the first ever NYFW: Men's.

Previous recipients of the Fashion Cares Award include Carmen Marc Valvo, Tadashi Shoji, and Cushnie et Ochs. Varvatos will be the first men's wear designer presented with the award.

The event will take place at Cipriani Wall Street with an expected guest list of 900 people. Last year, over 2 million dollars was raised for the charity.
