GlassesUSA.com to launch 3D printable glasses

After just announcing a capsule collection with Hilary Duff, GlassesUSA.com has also released a new launch of eyewear. The online retailer just debuted 3D printable glasses where customers can print their own pairs at home at no cost.

"For the past 10 years, we have been disrupting the way consumers purchase their glasses and have incorporated new technologies to make the purchasing experience better. The addition of 3D printable frames marks a new milestone in our history, creating previously unachievable possibilities in customization," Daniel Rothman, CEO of GlassesUSA.com, said in a press release. "We are proud to be leading the way in educating consumers on how to purchase glasses online and letting them take control of their eyewear needs."

The launch includes three templates including Phoenix, Mermaid, and Dragon. Based on the brand's best-selling frames, the styles include a wayfarer, rectangular, and round. Customer can customize their frame shape and choose various colors as well as personal text and engraving. The 3D frames can be printed through STL and OBJ formats. After the frames are printed, the customer will still need to order the lenses from GlassesUSA.com.
