Bucking the industry speculations about negative impact of Brexit and Donald Trump’s victory in the US on consumer spending, online luxury retailer Matchesfashion reported revenues of 126.9 million pounds for the year to January 31 against 99.6 million dollars in the prior year, said an Evening Standard report.

The platform that offers high-end labels like Chloé, Alexander McQueen, Gucci and Jimmy Choo, said that losses for the year narrowed from 5.6 million pounds to 1.7 million pounds.

Founded by Tom and Ruth Chapman with a debut boutique store in Wimbledon in 1987, the company now caters to 167 countries through its online platform and operates four stores in London.

Recently, Matchesfashion offered a capsule collection of US streetwear label Off-White and earlier partnered with Vetements to organise a ‘garage sale’ in Seoul, South Korea offering a limited edition pieces from the brand’s collections.
