Buckle net sales drop 14.6 percent in Q3

Buckle said that net sales for the third quarter decreased 14.6 percent to 239.2 million dollars, while comparable store net sales decreased 15.3 percent. Online sales for the quarter decreased 8.5 percent to 23.7 million dollars.

Net income for the fiscal quarter ended October 29, 2016 was 23.4 million dollars or 0.49 dollar or 0.48 dollar per share on a diluted basis compared with 35.9 million dollars or 0.75 dollars or 0.74 dollar per share on a diluted basis for the third quarter of fiscal 2015.

Net sales for the 39-week fiscal period decreased 11.8 percent to 694.9 million dollars and comparable store net sales decreased 12.5 percent. Online sales decreased 3.7 percent to 67.6 million dollars for the 39-week period.

Net income for the period was 62 million dollars or 1.29 dollars or 1.28 dollars per share on a diluted basis compared with 92.9 million dollars or 1.93 dollars or 1.93 dollars per share on a diluted basis for the same period, last year.
