Premier lifestyle retailer Sundance to open new flagship

Women's and men's apparel retailer Sundance just announced a new store opening in the U.S. The Salt Lake City-based retailer has tapped Leawood in Kansas for the company's newest location.

The store will open Thursday, November 9,in the Leawood Town Center Plaza and Crossing. The location was chosen due to the community's long standing reputation for arts and culture. "We are thrilled to be joining this art-forward community. The Sundance heritage is one of celebrating artistic passion and independent spirit. There is an obvious fit for the Sundance brand through our mutual appreciation for, and recognition of, new forms of creative expression," said chief executive officer Matey Erdos.

Sundance's new location will also donate a portion of its proceeds from its grand opening weekend. The proceeds will go towards the American Red Cross of Kansas City in order to provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent and prepare for emergencies.

The new opening of the Leawood Town Square Plaza store will help further the company's recent retail expansion. Since 2015, Sudance has opened stores in Edina, MN, Dallas, TX, Southlake, TX, Scottsdale, AZ, Tigard, OR, San Diego, CA, and Atlanta, GA. Currently, the brand has stores already opened in Corte Madera, CA and Park Meadows, CA. Over the next few years, Sundance will continue its retail expansion in specific markets.
