New York-based label Madison Harding is switching coasts this weekend to spread its retro-style shoewear to Los Angeles. The footwear and accessories label is opening a temporary pop-up starting August 13 to the end of the month.
The curated lifestyle brand is known for its 1970’s style while also reflecting a piece of New York City, where the brand originated. The New York pop-up will be located in Santa Monica on Montana Avenue. Staying open for the latter half of the month, the vintage brand will offer its platforms, flats, sandals, wedges, and more for its customers. Madison Harding is known for its pieces that reflect a summery, flirty vibe including platforms with snakeskin print, matte black boot wedges, open-toed wedges, and studded flats. Prices can range from approximately 98 to 165 dollars for a pair of shoes according to the Madison Harding website. Bags and clutches range from 65 to 128 dollars.
The brand was formed in 2007 and launched as a footwear line originally by founder Hilary Rosenman. The brand is known for its classic, timeless styles with a bit of nostalgia mixed into their design. Each year, Madison Harding produces six capsule collections designed by some of New York’s best artists and designers. Their in-house and collaborative pieces use high-quality materials such as leather and suede and are typically hand-crafted in construction. The brand originally started as a wholesale and has now transitioned into a direct-to-consumer business.
