Cupcakes & Cashmere's Emily Schuman teams up with BB Dakota

Emily Schuman, Los Angeles lifestyle blogger, is teaming up with BB Dakota for her first clothing line.

The Los Angeles blogger is known for her lifestyle blog entitled “Cupcakes & Cashmere.” The Cali native now announces her partnership with BB Dakota in order to create a collection for fall. The Los Angeles label BB Dakota is known for its contemporary, urban clothing. The two will work together to create a 40-piece collection. Last Monday, Schuman reviewed a preview to her readers for the upcoming collection. “We developed a line that can be mixed and matched with anything in your closet, focused on quality tailoring and materials, while hitting an affordable price point,” Schuman told WWD. The collection has been a work-in-progress for the last year and a half, according to the publication. So far, pieces include some of Schuman’s iconic basics such as a striped black and white t-shirt. Other pieces include a laced skirt, leather outwear jacket and more. The collection will range between 80 and 450 dollars.

Schuman’s blog has gained fashion acclaim for her ability to mix San Francisco and Los Angeles style. The lifestyle writer mixes laid-back fashion with a polished, preppy look which has caused her blog to gain followers from worldwide. The blog focuses on Schuman’s take on fashion, food, beauty, and interior design. The "Cupcakes & Cashmere" blogger currently has 280,000 followers on her Instagram. The blog originally launched in 2008 by Schuman. Since then, the Los Angeles resident has worked with Coach, done several design collaborations, partnerships, and published a lifestyle book.

The new line is set to launch July 6 in major retailers including Nordstrom and Shopbop.
